Made a quick run that was supposed to be maybe 4 day hunt.... got in a quick afternoon hunt, before the norther and killed a couple of birds, then the front hit that AM, and we limited after 2 hours of rain. Had to let it quit raining.... and came back in 40 plus winds....
Got colder and windier on Friday so came home instead of risking the airboat run in 45 mph winds....

That looks like a big pintail!

The only shame in that drake is his breast split wide open on impact with the water... that or my wad from the 10ga hit him but he was pretty high for the wad to do damage... I could have fixed it but it wasn't worth it when you can eventually kill a really nice one that has a body to match the sprig.

Buddy was laughing as he'd shot his drake, and I was being super picky again. Which is a laugh as I can't hit squat with a shotgun generally...
