Looks like a good price for around here. Nice gun and round for close range.

I have one of those and use it every year for deer hunting. I love it. Its a great gun and very accurate. Mine was in beautiful shape when I bought it (still is). When I bought it I knew nothing about the 336. I thought (by the looks of the condition of the gun) that it was made in the late 70's or 80's. Turns out it was made in the 50's. Anyways, I paid $180.00 for mine. Good luck to you.

I bought my 35rem 336 new in 1967 from K-Mart. They were having a sale on them and it was priced $67. A box of Remington 200gr. cost $2.75. I still have the gun and a half box of those shells. I don't think I'd sell mine for much less than $250. I do have an extra pair of see-through scope mounts for it if you are interested.
My son still uses it and it's taken a lot of deer here in Mich. Deadly out to 100yds.

It seems as though good condition 336's will bring $200 pretty easy these days.AW
