I was looking through some of my bullets today and noticed that the Barnes XLC's I had bought that came in the blue Midway boxes have a cannelure on them.Does anybody know the reason why they are different than those in the Barnes boxes? I was just curious.
Thanks Doug

Those "blue box" bullets are bulk bullets which were likely from a commercial order or over-runs from the same. (It wouldn't be too surprising if a large ammo company might have cancelled an order for a product after discovering that it was soon to become discontinued, something that frequently has happened with Barnes' products.) Midway and others have been able to move Barnes and other companies "extras" at a nice price I've noticed.

I have some Blue Meanies too. They are the 100 gr. 25 cal. I bought them about three years ago. They kill just fine. Matter of fact they are the most accurate bullet out of my MK V Ultra light. Best I remember they are moving about 3550 at the muzzle. Wish I had bout more.

Thanks guys. I have wanted to ask that question, but never remember when I'm on here. I didn't think they would make a difference, but it is kind of funning how the groove lines up with one on the TSX's.
