OP Cazador Campfire Member C Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 196	Just wanted to know what your favorite 45/70 load was. I currently use Buffalo bore since they have a wider variety of weights so I can get more range. But if I was going to AK I would probably get Garret.

jackfish Campfire Regular Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 2,181 Western Wisconsin	I don't like to spend $2 a round so I load 405gr Rem JSP (16 cents apiece) over 55gr of H322 for 1900fps, good for up to elk and moose. For big bear I would load Alaska Bullet Works 350gr Kodiak FN to 2000fps. You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.
