And that, sir, is the core of the problem. We keep waiting for someone to save us. Someone who will take up the cause, mostly alone, so we can go about our lives without much effort. No such person, or group of people is coming.

It's kind of like the people are lost at sea. Some of them know where to go but it takes the effort of all to get there. We can drown, or we can float at the mercy of the currents which are off shore and pushing us farther to sea, or we can work together and swim like hell to get to land. No rescue ship is coming. I've seen several bright fires on the shore, flare up and die out, yet the American people stay adrift and wait for someone to save them.

Armand Hammer was a communist spy. As usual JasonB displays his ignorance unintentionally while he tries to rile the place up.

This guy is dumber than a box of rocks, but probably not as attractive.

Back on topic.

The U.S. of course is not a socialist country.

Yes we have strayed quite a bit from laisezz fair capitalism but unless we all allow Obama to continue with his little games, we are not seriously in trouble.

Of course lowering taxes and removing regulations from corporations would help the country prosper, but it's going to be a long time before I seriously worry about the U.S. going socialist, if that gets too close DC will burn first.

The second amendment cures many ills, just like there are few problems that a kilo of Semtex wont fix....

Lets see we have the conservative progressive wing and the liberal progressive wing of the National Fascist party, the only party in the US. Nope, we sure aren't socialist. I wonder what it takes for us to become a socialist country? Slave labor and extermination camps?

no, just the standard stuff....government ownership of the means of production. Obama has moved us farther in that direction in a year than we had in the previous two hundred.

you're entitled to your opinions, but not to your definitions.

Actually, there are two kinds of socialism, Marxism and Fascism. The US is of the Fascist socialism variety. But I'll agree with you that Obama has gone more Fascism than almost any president in the last one hundred years.

BTW: I came up with the new terms because Bob did not like me borrowing to a certain degree Judge Napolitano's phraseology.

Now those of you that think YOUR socialist utopia leadership is great I feel sorry for. Most that I have met FTF don't buy in to all that crap.

See there you go again...............I'm not trying to slag anyone or any country but here's my problem.
The story line in here goes like this: Socialism is bad, a dirty word. Then Canada is labelled socialist, due to some program or other that I in fact know also exists south of the border. There are plenty of social programs in the US we have never even heard about in Canada. (school lunches for example) I have both worked and travelled in the USA and I see very little difference on just about any front. So I'm wondering.......How come a social program that exists on both side of the border some how not make the US as socialiast as Canada? The obvious answer is that the USA is and has been socialist for a long time.
I've never been to Cuba either, calling me a troll is just lame.

I lived in Canada for 23 1/2 years,......and dearly miss her.

In terms of pure Political Hyperbole, I'm not much of a player.

I tend to agree with you about the American "Blind Spot" re: Socialism, and it's .......yadda.

When I split, and came South of the Medicine Line,.....I had packed for quite a few years previously, in places like S.E. Calgary ( RULED by ASIAN Gangs )......."Illegally"

Here at home once again in the good old U.S.A.,I kinda' enjoy strapping on a hogleg, and going out to earn, learn, and generally do good,....without worrying about federale heat comin' down on my azz......or deciding whaether I have God given rights.

.....and that's about all I've got to contribute here.

You're passionate, in your presentation,......put a team together, and go TAKE Ottawa back, for the Canadian people.

best Regards,

GTC

I'll try to explain it to you.

We have one political party here in the US. I call it the National Fascist Party. The party is composed of two wings Republicans (I call the conservative progressive wing) and the Democrats (I call the liberal progressive wing). To most of the members on the Fire, who happen to be Republicans (conservative progressives), any social programs they come up with are good programs and are good for the country. Also, conservative progressive social programs are never socialistic to conservative progressives.

Conservative progressives cannot see or don't want to see that they are socialists. That's why to conservative progressives the US isn't a socialistic country but Canada is. I hope this helps to explain things.

And how does this make the US less socialized than most of the other developed countries? Are you afraid of the question? Or just the answer?

Thanks Derby, not sure if I follow completely but you are the first to actually try to answer my question and I thank you. Just took the usual 9 pages of name calling, denials and off topic responces.
