Since most of my hunting is black powder, it would be a muzzleloader. 28" barrel, 50 cal. 1:24 twist, tapered octagon. Action would be basically a shortened Sav. 99, sort of a falling block/Martini hybrid. Pistol grip stock, mild crescent buttplate, schnable forend. I think you could make the tip of the forend (the schnable) into the end of a collapsable ramrod, so it would all fit into the length of the forend. Shotgun primer ignition, with an extractor (There is probably a good reason this is not done). 150 - 175 gr. powder capability. Thought about this a lot - wish I was a machinist! I'd already have one then.

OK, I'll play;
9.3x62
98 Mauser or new design CRF bolt action
Serengeti laminate Circasian walnut short forend barrel band sling swivel
22" round barrel, barrel band front sight w/ivory bead, quick detach rings on dovetail square bridge receiver and an aperture sight that goes on the dovetail or pops up from the rear bridge.
2x7 scope w/illuminated reticle.
Set up to shoot monometal (ie. Barnes TSX or GS Custom or ?)bullets or Northforks.

Scaled-down pushfeed with good tolerances. Light, stiff, slim synthetic to offer good balance. Pretty much what Melvin Forbes already did.....

I'd like an accurate, non-rattling (no rattles like the Rem 760) pump action in 7mm-08. Would handle 95% of North American hunting (excludes big bears).

I'd like to see a Savage 1920 action, with a good trigger and bottom metal, and a bolt handle compatible with a scope. Leave the stock design alone, and scale it to fit whatever cartridge you like.

Make mine a 358 win (although I could skimp by with a 35-284 if I had to)

I would like the action to be smaller than the 7600, more on the lines of a 141, free floated barrel like the 7600. A nice 3 lb trigger. A tang safety, intigrated scope bases maybe ruger designs so I could swap out the scope for a NECG peep. I would go for a 20 barrel. I would prefer a box magazine, but if a tubular magazine allowed a smaller receiver I would want it to be a Sprial design allowing pointed bullets.

Just dreaming...

Of course the world could use a nice hunting pump in 357 and 44mag as well

Drilling 12 gauge/30.06.

And, it would have "Bob's Da' Man", in gold, on both sides of the barrel!!
