Does anyone know if there is a metal buttplate on the round barrel Rossi 92s? I know that the octagonal barrel has a metal buttplate, but the pictures of the round barrel version are inconclusive. The shape of the butt on the octagonal and on the round barrels is different, but I can't see the buttplate on the round barrel version.

Mine are metal.

Thanks. The pictures on Bud's Gun Shop's web site makes it look like it has no buttplate.

FWIW, the pics of the guns on Buds Gun Shop website are not necessarily pics of the exact gun/description that the pic suggests.

The round barreled guns have a metal saddle ring carbine buttplate. The only exception is the 454 and 480 calibers that have a recoil pad (at least the LSI Pumas did).
