This is my first lever gun its a Marlin 1894 carbine 357 it has the micro groove barrel.
I want to load ammo for it so here are my questions.
(1) Cast or Jacketed bullets
(2) 38 or 357 brass
I have 1000 158gr cast RNFP bullets and lots of 38 and 357 brass.
Any loades to share for this type?
Thanks

.

I shoot all the above in my Marlin 357.
Any load out of the loading manuals will work, it's a trial and error process.

I prefer to shoot mag length shells out of my 357 and 44 lever guns, as shooting the shorter special length brass will leave a carbon ring in the chamber, then could cause pressure issues when you go back to shooting the longer mag length brass. Light loads can be constructed in mag length cases as easily as special length cases too.
