Unless I am wrong, the 22-250 stock is the same action length as the 6mm!

I would have thought the same thing but for some off the wall reason the .243, 6mm, .308 and 7mm-08 are long action with a7.1" bolt hole spacing and the .222, .223, 22-250, 30-30 are short action with a 6 3/4" bolt hole spacing.

I don't know why they done that but that's the way it is.

Ken is correct, the 22-250 and 6mm in a 788 are the same action length. Remington actually called these, along with .243, 7mm08 and .308, extra long actions in the 788. I believe a .222 was a long action and 30-30 was designated a short action.

Well if it will fit I will buy it from peepsight, with an inspection period to make sure.

But every website that I have found that sells aftermarket stocks ie: boyds, midwayusa, numirich have two seperate stocks for short action and long action, and the 22-250 is a short action and the 6mm is a long action.
