This morning's business news is ablaze with talk about the known brake problems on the Prius. Hope all you investors dumped your TM stock after hours.

There sure seems to be a feeding frenzy as of late, at 'Yotas expense. It's possible that it's legitimate, but I entertain the possibility of sabatoge as well.
It might be a good time to check stock prices as you suggest, with intention of making a killing.

YEP, remember when Ford dropped to $10.00 a share a couple years ago? My son, who is not rich, bought 1,000 shares, he is still chuckling!

I'm glad he had the foresight and cash to capitalize.
The principal applys in any sector, wait for the crash, buy and hold, sell at a profit.

He was smarter than I, I could have afforded to do the same and he NEVER fails to remind me.

Sabatoge? I don't think so. Lots of people commenting on how quick Toyota is responding to this incident and that it was a voluntary recall "They didn't have to do it, but they did because they care about their customers...blah, blah, blah."
It's called DAMAGE CONTROL at this point. As far as being a quick response, for a problem they have known about since 2007, I don't see that as a quick response.
Probably more cover-up that got exposed than sabatoge.

I'm sure it's a big problem...
but as far as the accelerator problem when did people loose the ability to think?
One person who had a stuck accelerator called on a cell phone (suprise suprise) and then wound up dying in a wreck. When did people loose the ability to turn off the ingition and back to run so you could still steer - or take a vehicle out of gear?
GM had a similar problem a ways back and they wound up having to put extra return springs on all their accelerators...of course that was before 24 hour news.
Otto is my co-pilot.

They certainly are having their issues (name one auto manufacturer that has not had recalls), but......
I will still buy Toyota long before buying anything else. I have three of them in my driveway right now. If you want a dependable car/truck, extremely low maintenance costs, very good insurability, tremendous longevity, and great resale value, buy a Toyota and don't look back.

Must be, he reminds me frequently! But them I can always remind him of his past Brilliance to bring him down a notch or two.

Fueled by the desire to sell Obamoters vehicles, no doubt. The Feds ain't gonna let the giant up while it's down, you can bet on that.

Don't understand the "sabotage" theory -- By whom? Competitors? Unions? Aliens? GWB?
The Bad News is that the DOT is opening an investigation. That means everyone - even us bystanding taxpayers - will pay.

What does that say? Hemi Edit to add link 911 calll Figures....he was a CALIFORNIA highway patrolman!
