Gentlemen, I took delivery of this rifle a little over a month ago. Here are the specs: GA Precision Templar LA Magnum Bolt with new one piece bolt Bartlein 1-10" twist #4 cut rifled Barrel at 24" Fluted McMillan Classic in Black Polane with "Remington Fill" with 3 studs Chambered .300 Winchester Magnum Badger Ordnance/Accuracy International Magazine System The rifle is all business, however, I can't say the magazine stuck out of the bottom is growing on me. That said their is no question on perfect feeding. The upside is that it balances perfectly and the trigger is actually good to go out of the box. That said I think I'm going to take Gardner up on a 3 round magazine... Regards, Matt Garrett 757-581-6270

Hi Matt
I like it !! That's a real nice looking gun, what is the weight of the gun. I am getting tired of lugging around 15lb target guns to the range.

I could like that a lot!
I'd have to look into the shorter magazine as well.
Now with even more aplomb

Looks kinda like waht I have envisioned for my 338 lapua build. That #4 Bartlein is FAT and it obviously fits in the classic stock....which means I got NO problem opening up my Sporter for a similar contour.....thanks a million.
Weight?

Yes, they gurantee their 1/2" accuracy with the sporter type rifles also.
From GAP's website:
G.A. Precision guarantees the accuracy of its rifles to be MOA at 100 yards with match grade ammunition. This guarantee applies to any complete build or partial builds where G.A. Precision both barrels the rifle in combination with bedding it. The G.A. Precision Crusader rifle is guaranteed to shoot 3/8 MOA at 100 yards with match grade ammunition. The G.A. Precision AR-10 rifle is guaranteed to shoot MOA at 100 yards with match grade ammunition. The AR-10 rifles will shoot better than our guarantee , consistent shooter position is extremely critical when shooting a semi-automatic. With practice a skilled shooter can run a semi auto with the same precision as a bolt rifle. G.A. Precision defines match grade ammo as factory ammunition that the manufacturer markets or signifies as match grade or target grade Etc. Example: Black Hills Match, Federal Gold Medal Match, Corbon Match, Lapua Match , RUAG Swiss target, Remington Match ETC.

I'm guessing its in the 8 1/2 lb range as it sits without a scope?

Matt, nice rifle and I would have guessed it would be black.. I too would have to sans the mag box. What is the intended target.. Are you planning a trip across the water for a little plains game hunting..

Gentlemen, Thank you kind commentary. Even on the toes. Knew someone was going to see that...(grin)
I have a high end Japanese Commercial Scale that gave the following weights: 7 pounds 8 ounces without the magazine 8 pounds 2 ounces with an empty magazine 8 pounds 4 ounces loaded with 5 rounds of 190 grain BTHPs...fwiw
7 08, This rifle was a posthumous gift from my older brother. He ordered it early last year, passed in early March, and I got the call from George regarding which way to go sometime after... They knew each other and got along far better than George and I ever did. Despite my buying 11 rifles from him...(grin)
He also left me a new GA Precision A-5/Fluted Rock 5R in .300 Win Mag that recoils like a .308 and seems to group like a PPC. That may be a bit of a stretch, however, that particular A-5 .300 Win Mag is an absolute hammer...
This rifle was originally to be a .30-06', however, I have enough .300 Win Mag Match to last several lifetimes. Hence the change.
Dave, Thank you. Thinking an 4-16x42 PMII LP with a P4F. Mounted one on it last week and it looked positively sinister...(grin) Likely go with a TAB Elite Sling in Black. Gonna try to get Marty to make me a pair of 34mm 1.0" rings in alloy...
Regards, Matt.

get some williams botton metal and fix the mag problem. then you will have a great rifle, never understood adding a box mag to remington 700's fad, if 4 shells will not kill it 5 ain't gonna either.
