I'm trying to keep this rifle 100% original which means not replacing the stock, does anyone know how these were finished, if finished at all? Thanks! Joe The one thing I look forward to with technology is to travel back in time to hunt mastodons!

Not many Mausers made in 30/06 in those years (I don't know of any, but I am not a Mauser expert), lots of 1917 Enfields out there in 30/06.
