In this very difficult military environment it's going to be survival of the fittest. The New EVO Navy Seals Steel Sapphire Collection is up to every challenge. To create a watch even tougher than the original navy Seals model, Luminox went back to the drawing boards and reexamined every millimeter of the watch. The New EVO Series is bigger and heavier, with even more 316 grade Swiss Surgical Stainless Steel. The Sapphire Glass Crystal is recessed and protected. Of course it's virtually scratchproof.

The heavy Setting Crown is both screw down and protected by Luminox Double "O" Ring against any possibility of leaking watch, dust, dirt or sand. Naturally the steel back is screw down, too. The watch is depth tested and certified for water tightness to 200 meters (or 660 feet) below sea level.

Like the original Navy Seals Steel Sapphire Series, these new watches exceed every specification set by the Navy Seals and the U.S. Military, as outlined in U.S Armed Forces Military Specifications # W-4637 4F. These watches are authorized for use by all U.S. military personnel.

As before, the most important feature is the famous Luminox Tritium Gas Illumination System. Using tiny glass tubes filled with tritium gas, the number markers and hands will NOT FADE during the night, as other watches usually do. And you do not need to "push a button" to read the time perfectly. In fact, this watch will glow brightly even if kept in total darkness 24 hours a day. Luminox actually guarantees the illumination for 10 full years!
