I'll give you an update on what I did with one of my Winchester 88's.<BR>Sent it away to be re-bored to a 338-308. I replaced the basket weave-oak leaf stock with a Fajen semi-fancy walnut stock that I glassed and finished myself. <BR>I'm working up loads for this rifle using 200gr. Combined Technology moly ballistic tips in Federal Match Brass. I'm hoping to get around 25-2600 fps out of the barrel.<BR>I'll top it with either a Leupold 4X or a new Weaver Grand Slam 4.75X and use it as my main whitetail rifle here in MI.<BR>I'm currently using a Savage 99 in 358 with a 3-9X Compact Leupold, I almost hate to quit using this one, but the 88 has got me real excited.<BR>When I get it done and broken in, I'll post a few pictures of what it looks like and what it can do.
