I got my shotgun put back together. I used the Aug green and Magpul Tan. I paid $40 for the gun at an auction, so I figured I couldn't get hurt to bad. This turned out great. It will definately have better protection than before. I'm going to have to find other beater guns to paint. Thanks, Tom

Looks like the barrel has a built in bayonet?

Whats the deal with the scoop barrel? poor mans muzzle break, or DIY bayonnett?
What exactly did you use to cover it? the metal, or the stock only?
thanks
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

The shotgun originally came with a longer barrel with a select choke. I cut that off at the angle and sharpened the end. Kind of gives it that ak-47 look. The blueing was long gone and it was pitted in some areas. Since I keep it in the trunk of my truck, I decided to to Durocoat it. It was pretty simple to use. You degrease it and paint it with the two part paint. I used Aug green for the metal and Magpul tan for the wood. The butt stock was also cut down for shorter length. It still shoots good enough for it's use. I should have taken before pictures. If you have any truck guns, just Durocoat them. http://www.houtsenterprises.net/Thanks, Tom
