I'm just getting set up for Tarpon fishing and I am wondering if anyone can recommend someone for making me some IGFA correct leaders (just incase I land the big one) note my optimism.

Most of the commercial company's are about $10.00 a piece that adds up if you want a few dozen.

Rio makes the ones I use. They come in a three pack for about $25. Yeah, still pricey I guess, but getting some them custom done will cost you more.

Thanks for the information, I poked around and found some Rio's on the web I'll try them out. I might try building them myself it should be interesting !

Hopefully the water starts warming up soon the surface temperature is still in the 50's.

Good luck!

The only thing there catching in numbers is trout, I'm going to the monthly meeting for the Mangrove Coast org. Tuesday it will be good to see and hear what's going on and to talk with some of the local guides.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or the status of the fisheries in the area this season, I'm down in Sarasota.

Hi

I don't know Tony personally, I believe he use to own/work out of Casey Key Outfitters which closed and is now named Flying Fish Outfitters and is owned/operated by a real nice young couple. I have been to the new shop and picked up some items, I hope they do well and wish them good success. it's a tough time to open a new business but they are more diverse than the previous shop offering bait and conventional fishing gear as well.
