I've been having a great time shooting some NFAA 300 and Freeman rounds with my Recurve this winter. Just posted a personal best of 251 on the NFAA 300 round. I also tried my first Freeman round this weekend and fired a 260. Fun and a great chance to work on the form while things have a chance to warm up outside. Anybody else shooting indoors?

Not punching paper but have been walking around the "back yard" with it. I live in a "country" subdivision where we have a 20 acre overgrown tree farm as one of our green spaces right behind my house. Makes for great vermin hunting with a bow. Opossum, coon, squirrels and a bunch of bunnies make this area home. Thats the beauty of bow hunting, especially a traditional recurve. People tend to look more fondly on you when you go out with a pretty piece of wood with a string on it versus something more modern looking.
Keep your powder dry and stay frosty my friends.

I've been shooting my recurve two or three times a week at home, and just finished an indoor league. It was the first time I shot in front of people in over fifteen years. It was fun. Kind of like the pressure of making a good shot on game. This weekend I have a 3D shoot locally. That should prove to be a great time. The last 3D shoot I went to was, again, about fifteen years ago. The goal this year is to take a black bear with my recurve out of the same stand I took one this year with my rifle. It sits on a berry patch that draws bears like honey.

Shot a 3D shoot last weekend and have been shooting my own 3D targets on and off all winter long up until the point I got 5 feet of snow and then I couldn't see the targets anymore. Now its settled enough so I am back shooting again.
