Well here are the pictures of my small kitchen.

The countertop has white 4" tiles on it right now. They did a crappy job, not sure what kind of grout they used. Every so often they put one with a pink rose on it and some are upsidedown.

Like the cabinets. Have you checked out any of the quartz countertops? Supposed to be denser than granite and not as expensive.

No Bill I have not checked out quartz. I'm trying to get by as cheep as I can because we are talking about selling our house. But I don't want it to look cheap.

I gotta be honest Muffy....that's a dang nice kitchen the way it is.

You know what might look pretty sweet? 12"x12" slate tile for the counter top, and 6"x6" slate tile for the back splash. Slate is pretty cheap, like 2 bucks a tile.

I like your kitchen.

I just finished tiling our master bath with slate (6x6) and we love it. We are just waiting for the stone enhancer to finish curing.

It was $0.96 a tile for the 6x6 initially, but the price was recently reduced to $0.86 a tile (@ the local Lowe's). Inexpensive, and it looks awesome.

Yeah, it looks great. I just finished our bathroom and laundry room in it. In the bathroom, I put 12" tiles on the floor and 6" tiles on the wall. I looks sharp.

Dave, i heard a fishing report of out by your house. Actually just south of where you originally had yours. They did fairly good out there last weekend, hoping to hear more from this week.

Thanks. It looks alot different now compared to when we moved in. The flooring was the 70's dark brown linoleum, and the cabinets were about 5 shades darker. For such a small area it was way too dark. It was quite a job, but it was worth it. smile

the good reports are few and far between up here this week. I may just be out on the sled searching for a good spot this weekend. Love the kitchen Muffy, looks very good. As a home designer they are some very nice composites out there for counters now and reasonable.
