I just traded a post-64 Winchester 94 for a Stainless 6' 22 Mag. Mine was made in 1976 and is marked "Made in the 200th year of American Independence," or something to that effect, on the barrel. Took it out and shot it. Shot great groups to point of aim at 25 yards. It came with an awesome holster too. All considered, this has immediately become my favorite field gun. It's fun, cheap, accurate, and easy to shoot, with enough power to dispatch any varmints I usually encounter. Though it is heavy for what it is, all the weight being foreword of the grip means that, to me, it balances naturally both in the hand and in the holster. So, while it may be heavy, it is handy because it just seems to hang at the hip like it belongs there. There is no way I'm ever selling or trading this one.
This one is the last in a long line of Single Sixes I've owned over the years. I got it as a gift a couple years ago and it was "unfired" until I took it out and fired the snot out of it!!!
It shoots exceptionally well. Very tight groups. Unfortunately, the groups are too high! So, I have to find a way of raising the front sight or lowering the rear. Don't want to do this to the original equipment, so I'm looking for a replacement rear sight I can file down and keep the original intact.

pics please, of your ruger and the holster it came with...
Wow, Tony! Who did that conversion. Very nice looking. A PPP for sure and love that front sight.
I got my 5.5-in stainless SS convertible c. 1988 from a girl I worked with whose father got it for her as a self-defense gun when she left for college. Never been fired before I got it.
Never shot worth poot with the Magnum cylinder till I tried WW Supreme 34 grain JHPs. Then it shot .75. Need to scope it now my eyes have got middle-aged squirrely and buy a case of that ammo.
I relly prefer an auto for the .22 round. But, when my single six failed to advance the cylinder when cocked, I sent it back to Ruger. They replaced all the internals including the hammer and trigger. Didn't charge me a dime!
Mostly I plink with mine and have used it to break in the grandkids to handgunning.
Did you cut down the rim and length of 44mag or a different case?
A friend wants one and the old 3 screw is the way to go.
Looks nicely done. What is the cylinder length and OD if I could ask/
And what speed with what weight bullet.........
Enquiring minds want to know............
You can't throw that out and not expect questions.
Initially I trimmed 41 Mag brass to "special" length but now have a pile of proper Starline 41 Special brass bought from a gent that frequents a number of forums.
I am currently in the Middle East so the gun is ~10k miles away therefore I cannot measure it. The cylinder "window" was opened .010" a side IIRC and the cylinder made to rather snuggly fit the window with about zero barrel extension.
An Old Model must be used for this conversion as you will get into the transfer bar of a New Model when the loading window is opened up to accept the larger brass.
I have not chronographed the load but would expect around 800 fps or so.
I bought a stainless one with a 6.5 inch barrel back in 1982. It was the first handgun I ever bought. I carried it with the magnum cylinder on the tractor while mowing and raking hay to shoot groundhogs.
I've been thinking about getting a single six of late. Shot a couple different ones in the past and was always impressed with them. Can't seem to find a used one anywhere.
I did see a couple state commemorative ones. I'm pretty sure one of them was a Colorado commemorative model. The other might have been an Arizona commemorative. They are at separate shops here in my area. Might have to stop by the one on the way home, as it's right on the way.

Wow, I need to get my memory fixed. I stopped to look at one of the single six commemoratives I mentioned in my previous post. It was not a single six Ruger. It is a Colt Frontier 22lr, Arkansas state commemorative. Beautiful little gun!
