I deer hunted in a place infested with Fox. Most days I'd just watch them not wanting to scare the deer. A .54 caliber flintlock sure puts some fun into it!

Cool. I love to hunt rabbits and 'yotes with a smokepole or a recurve.

Good work! I've long been impressed with anyone who can shoot a flintlock well. Personally, I find it impossible to ignore that first flash/bang inches from my face well enough to do any good shootin'.

As far as shooting these flint locks, some have faster lock times than others and it takes some practice to put the right amount of ffff in the pan. Too much and you get too much flash and it slows down the burn to the barrel.

When I did my research I was told that Lyman was the way to go unless you wanted custom.

Dude, I put a .54 caliber ball through his boiler. He was DRT.
