A friend of mine has a pistol from WW2. It's German issue, looks to be made by Berreta in 1934. Markings on the reciever say 9CORTO. a 9mm Luger fits the bore, but is too long for the clip and the chamber. I got a hunch it's .380 auto, but lacking .380 cartridges, I can't check. Anyone care to venture a guess before he takes it to a gun shop to find out for sure?
7mmbuster

Hey 7mmbuster!
I'm thinkin' you nailed it. 9mm Corto, aka 9mm Kurz, aka 9mm Short, aka .380 Auto. ~ Dan
