I've got the Ruger Model GP-100 without adjustable sights. Does anyone know if it's possible to add the adjustable sights? Either do it myself or through a smith?

That sounds like an expensive milling job, and liable to be more expensive than trading it in.
Could you try just getting a dovetail sight for it? This is easier, but still leaves you with no elevation adjustment for different loads.
For that, I'd get 3 or 4 factory front sights, extra tall, and file one way down, while filing the rest to various intermediate heights.
Shouldn't be more than $50 or so for the whole thing, and much more durable than a factory adj. sight set, since it would be just drift-adjustable for windage.
I'd guess it depends on the front sight, and how difficult it is to remove on the fixed model. There is a simple plunger setup on mine...is yours pinned?
Good luck.
FastVFR
