That sounds like an expensive milling job, and liable to be more expensive than trading it in.<P>Could you try just getting a dovetail sight for it? This is easier, but still leaves you with no elevation adjustment for different loads.<P>For that, I'd get 3 or 4 factory front sights, extra tall, and file one way down, while filing the rest to various intermediate heights.<P>Shouldn't be more than $50 or so for the whole thing, and much more durable than a factory adj. sight set, since it would be just drift-adjustable for windage.<P>I'd guess it depends on the front sight, and how difficult it is to remove on the fixed model.
