Hey tennessee, congratulations on your purchase, I was also looking at purchasing the 27 or 23 if not both, let me know on the recoil and accuracy. Depends on where your carrying it in the waist band, ankle, in a shoulder holster under a shirt? Well for in the waist band I would use a good leather holster, by kramer, askins, bianchi, or any other top name brand. I would look for leather without a retention strap. a good leather holster with a good belt will hold the weapon secure to your body, anyways I will try to find out some more info on that, I live in Nebraska and no concealed carry allowed. hope that helps.

Esox357,
I just bought the 27 tuesday so I haven't
spent much time with it yet. I brought it home and shot it 10 times at 10 yards. With the exception of 1 {about 6 inches low, probably my fault} it left a nice little 3 inch group just below my aiming point. I then shot 4 more times at 5 yards leaving 4 holes that you could cover with a half dollar, also my wife shot it once hitting somewhere in that 3 inch bunch of holes.
As for recoil, you want to hold on to the little thing but it's really not that bad. I don't have much to compair it to since this is the first light, large caliper auto that I've ever owned but I will say that it jumps a lot harder than my smith 357, 4 inch barrel.
Thanks for the info on the holsters.

Hey tennessee, I found also a Galco Deep Cover I believe May be your ticket. I heard they run about 60 bucks plus tax. I hope to get my compact or micro 40 soon. Take Care.

I've got a Glock 27 and use a DeSantis IWB holster. The most comfortable combo I have found in a light firearm with lots of punch! good shootin, vbshootinrange.

Tenn,
Congrats on the new Glock!
I was a Galco freak for my 1911's,but then I found Sidearmor, and their IWB Kydex when I got my G30.I love it!!!!
Also look into Agrip for the ultimate in control,it's the neatest stuff since smokeless powder I think, and actually provides a grip when wet,or cold!!!!!
I occaisionally hang out over on Glock talk, and some of the folks over there can give you G27 specific info that I cannot, stop in and say hello.
The guy that makes the Agrip stuff(Brooks Spier) is a moderator on the L.E.,and 10mm(10ring)page.Lots of Cops, and firearms professionals to help if needed.
Consider your own personal carry needs, morphology, climate, and level of comfort you are willing to accept for the majority of your daily activity's,and then decide. If you have a local shop that caters to L.E. and CCW,see if they will let you "Test drive" several different models and styles of carry rigs.
In the end you may just find that several different holsters may be needed.
I'm down to 3 myself.IWB Sidearmor for summer w/untucked shirt,Galco Gunsite for fall/spring/winter with a light jacket/Flannel,and....Kel-tec P32 in the pocket holster for times and places that warrant.
Also consider your current wardrobe..it's easier to tailor your clothing style, than it is your body.
The whole thing can be a can of worms if you concentrate on just one aspect.
Just some thoughts.I hope one or two helps.
Good luck to ya!!
Cheers!
E4E
My Tractor ain't sexy! My Rifle however, has issues with the matter. The wife Definately ain't cornfused! Good thing I have a Dog to come home to!!!!!!

I have been carrying a Glock 27 since they came out. I have use several holsters. The most comfortable is the plastic holster made by Glock. It fits my mod. 17, 22, and 27. They set very high on your hip and are very concealable.
