A guy at work has one that is about fifteen years old and has been shot very little. The gun is in about 98% condition or better. It really looks about brand new. He is asking It has a cheap Bushnell scope on it though. He is asking $350.00 for it. I really don't need it but I sure do like it. What do you guys think of the price?

There is a clean used 35 rem. with the cross bolt safety at the local Gander Mt. for $399

Fair price, buy it if it appeals to you. Cool gun- I bought a very nice pre-crossbolt saftey one myself in 2007 for $350. That might have been a bit of a premium at the time but rifles were being allowed for deer hunting in this part of the state just then and local prices seemed to jump a bit. But it was and is a nice rifle/cartridge combination that was on my "stumble across one - buy it" list and I'm glad I did. pictures? -WSJ

The cross bolt safety model 336 began in 1983. If the rifle is a a pre croosbolt safety...buy it.

I recently bought a 97% Marlin 336RC .35Rem caliber made in 1958. It was somebody's safe queen. I paid $425 for it plus shipping and I am very happy with it. These are not seen around here in .35Rem caliber so I am happy to have found such a nice one at all.
