Grrrrrr. I have water in my basement this morning. It came up through a drain pipe in the floor. I'm a little irratated today. :mad Yes, the new carpet is less than 1 week old, and now soaked.

Oh no Tom, not the whole basement I hope. Man, Not what you need right now. Will you be able to vac up the water and save the carpet? I sure hope so.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Yeah it should be OK.
I it is in a hallway about 4' wide by 15' long.
I have some cleaner dudes coming over at noon to do a better job than I can. They will suck it up and put some big ol fans on it for a few days. I was more concerned that it would created mold, so I wanted the pros in there to take care of it.
It's pretty much a super duty carpet cleaning. I think we got pretty lucky, Betsy discovered it last night at about 9pm. It wasn't there at 8pm, so we caught it early, so it didn't just soak up in ALL the carpet. The room it was in most is just a concrete floor.
I hope that is all, the guys coming over specialize in this stuff, my FIL has used them when his basement flooded, they're good, and they're not hosing us on price.

Sorry to hear that Tom. Did you figure out what caused the back up?

Just noticed the truck in your avatar is changing colors. I warned you that you get the gay after reaching Bwana status. Probably look like a rainbow anyday now.

Sorry to hear that Tom. Did you figure out what caused the back up? Must have been ice, frost or a plug of some sort. It's not sewer thank god. It's just water. It wasn't on the walls, at least when I left for work today. It's on the floor. They come in and suck it up, kinda like cleaning carpet, then dry it with some big industrial fans. I think it will be fine, it just wasn't what I wanted to deal with at the moment.

Water gone now.
Cleaner dudes were over. they said it wasn't bad at all! Which is nice. They told me the carpet will be wetter from the cleaning than it was from the water they sucked out.
I guess I could have done it with a fan for a few days, but since we're selling it, I wanted it done right, and professionaly.
I came back to work, but I have no idea why. My truck said 54* when I got back. I'm leavin' in a half hour. Can't stand to be inside with this weather.

We had to pretty much swim into the *Hilton*. Thought I lost the Mrs a couple of times. Now if we had powder sleds we could have driven right to the porch.

its raining cats and dogs here, weird looking outside and seeing snow drifts as high as the car windows, and having it rain.

Hey Bill, The rivers open below the Mosinee Dam. Lots of guys there Sunday and yesterday. I haven't seen the water on Dubay yet, but I have to think they're puttin in at Chuck's Landing in Mosinee. I'm going to try to get the boat this weekend, and get that bowmount on it. IT'S GETTIN' CLOSE!!!

We're supposed to get a rain starting tonight through Saturday.
I hope the basement stays dry. We've never had an issue with it before, but I'm a little gun shy.

My nephew was fishing below the Mosinee Dam a week ago. Caught a few Eyes.
Wolf River is starting to open in the Fremont area. A good rain with some wind will have it wide open in a week.
I've got the the boat batteries on the charger. Need to take the trailer in and get the bearings serviced.
