I use my Sinclair Uniformer each time I clean the pockets. Tried the brushes and just didn't work like I wanted them to.

I have a small screwdriver that I ground the slides parallel, and it fits perfectly.

I set it in the primer pocket, give the shaft a quick spin between my thumb and fingers, and it scrapes the bottom out perfectly.

The forster dbt base with a carbide pocket uniformer and sinclair adapter works great......

I've since swapped the cranks for power adapters. Mucho faster/easier....

I have maybe? 100-125 in all of it. the only new stuff was the sinclair adapter, pocket reamers and power adapters. More in that stuff, than all 3 bases and other goodies used. Watch ebay, and the local craigslist ads.......

A little pocket cleaning brush in the cordless drill. I dont try to get every last bit out just most of the crap, I dont want to remove any brass with the SS brush.

Worst thing you can do to your brass primer pockets is a brush, screwdriver or an RCBS. Get a Darrel Holland primer pocket cleaner or use a Sinclair uniformer.

The Sinclair carbide primer pocket uniformer works great IF you have already uniformed the primer pocket. However the Dewey Crocogator IMO is the best way to go if you want to clean your primer pockets quickly and easily without cutting brass.

I use one of the little Lee hand reamers which cost a couple of dollars. Buy two or three and you have a liftime supply. If you clean the primer pocket a little and make sure the flashole doesn't have some media in it, this works fine for 98% of handloading applications. I think you will find that most of the "toys" people sell for brass preparation will not make 2 cents worth of difference in accuracy. Shooting a lot and learning consistent technique is a lot more important. BT

Less then 1 second per pocket gets most of the crud out so when I'm seating new primers its not crunchy.
