Yep deposit is in from me as well. I thought I had my mind made up on what guns to bring..... Now I am thinking I might go all handguns maybe, .41 Magnum Blackhawk for pigs, .22 Hornet Raging Hornet & .30 Cabrine Blackhawk for yotes, cats & misc maybe. Too many options, not enough decisions.

Yeah, got my deposit in a long time ago. I'm prolly gonna bring along a .44 Magnum in addition to my rifle, just for chits & grins...

I'm headed out in the morning for our annual hawg hunt. Usually about 10 of us show, event tho out numbers are dwindling as we lost another this past year. We've been doing this since 1983. Dunno why I'm headed up there.... Counted 25 pigs in the bottom maybe 35 yds from our front door last night! One BIG azz boar. (I'll save him for the son in law).
I'll post an AAR in the general hunting section when I get back!
You guys have fun and be safe!!!!!

Let's get those deposits in fellers, along with any special requests. Our host has to know how many to plan for. I figure we still have room for a few more, not including the expected drop-outs. You wanna re-post the deadbeat, er, paid up list as a reminder?

Pat....I waited to confirm as to my kid who graduates from college the weekend prior. I thought his grandmom, on my ex's side, was going to tempt him with a trip to Italy but he wants to do this hunt. I spoke to the outfitter a couple of days ago and my check for 2 went out business mail this morning. If my son didn't go,I was going to invite another so I hedged my bet for awhile.
My apologies if I caused any discomfort with the powers that be,Pat.
Dan...My Delta flight arrives at 3:45 pm and I'll then be at the Hertz counter, as Budget is all sold out already. Cheapo Campfire dudes!! I'll swing up to the arrival gate afterwards and track you down. With an ice cold beer,of course!

Who's going to take responsibility for looking out for this group and keeping them from hurting themselves? Understand the question but us guys are for little govt, so those 3 are on their own. I will give them some whiskey when they get here.

Here is a link to my proposed route. What would be the safest way to stay outta that "convoys" way? Just kidding. Where and when would we meet - were I get brave enough? A few of my plans have been changed, so I won't be leaving any earlier than necessary. Of course, I am booked for the extra day, which is Thursday, right? Later...

Bob, no discomfort. Some we know are going, deposit or not, but staffing for and feeding 20 vs. 35 is a trick.

You and I fed 30 before...we can do it again! 20 Campfire guys can eat enough for 30,anyways.
Looking forward to it. I'm shipping gear ahead of time to minimize the airport headaches. If our rifles don't make it, I'll just work on my stalking skills and a Davy Crockett grin.

I enjoyed the solo ride to Tennessee, for the last hog hunt. I saw some new country, ate what I wanted and stopped at a couple of shops. Can't do that with the wife or on a plane.

Yes you can Pat. You'll just need a Norton Bomb sight so you'll land close to the store. JM
