Anyone know where I can get bottom metal for my Interarms .458 Lott? CWG is crafting the stock and needs it now.

Also need brass and dies.

Depends on what you want to spend...If you want to spend around $120, you can get some "commercial" bottom metal off of numrich, which might take a bit of fitting to make it work smoothly. If you want to spend a bit more, you can generally find stock Interarms bottom metal for around $150-200 on the auction sites. If you want to get fancy, look to Sunny Hill, Jerry Fisher and Duane Weibe. They all make some very nice stuff for around $400. I wish Williams would tool up and make some...Their 1 piece Winchester bottom metal is damn nice and reasonibly priced.

If you're interested, I have a standard length guard and floorplate, a take off from an Interarms '06, hinged floorplate. Feels like some sort of aluminum? PM me if you're interested.

This is Duane Wiebe's website. You'd need 4M or 4MX metal. It's pricey, but damn good quality. It just got one a few weeks ago for a 1936 Mexican action. Top shelf.

Took a look but didn't see anything for Interarms.

Your Interarms rifle is a M98 clone. M98 bottom metal should fit with maybe (or maybe not) a bit of tweaking. Call Duane and ask him.

What did the Matt Williams metal set you back?
Does any one know where I can get steel trigger guards for the Howa/Vanguard. They are a virtual Sako clone.

Duane will get back to you pretty soon. Sometimes it's a day or two, but usually pretty quick. He frequents AR's gunsmithing forum as well. He's a wealth of great information and you really need to go to his gunsmithing website to see some artwork. The bottom metal business is a partnership with another metalsmith whose name I can't recall.
