It's been going on for over a hundred years. We're not supposed to have a standing Federal army, income tax was to be raised only in time of war, Social Security, Federal Funding for education, transportation, blah, blah, blah.
There's 'bout nothin' left; well food and energy - but that's comin', too.

My guess is that the House will pass the Dec. 24 Senate bill and that BO will sign it into law. Then the House will pass its 157 page fix bill and send it to the Senate. The Dems and the MSM will turn up the heat on the Senate (especially Republicans) accusing them of refusing to "fix" the bad Obamacare bill. Even if the Senate does change it and sends it back to the House, it seems that once the House members have passed one bad bill, it become easier to pass another.

I see a Civil War brewing.................. Nope - there isn't enough guts to do it. Even if there was - what then?

The amount of full time employees reverting to PT, unemployed or 1099 status will be mind boggling.

The company I work for (for now - who knows if I'll have a job in the future as this kills our economy) is self insured. (no one would touch us for what we can do it for ourselves) I am guessing we are in for some surprises as well...

This bill is going to cost tens of thousands of jobs. It is an absolute budget buster, it creates a new entitlement and adds 15,000 people to medicaid which is already teetering on the edge of bankrupcy.
This is the worst bill past in my lifetime.....................DJ

The bill will pass and pass tonight...the reconcilitations bill will drag on for awhile...but that doesn't matter. The only hope we have left is that it works it's way to SCOTUS and about 5 of the SCJ's have had around the clock protection so that bam bam can't appoint another one...

Looks like the actual procedure was the one dj cited.
Go figure that they figured a way to ram this through.

The amount of full time employees reverting to PT, unemployed or 1099 status will be mind boggling. I can live with it, I guess I have to along with everybody else, I'm fortunate to be in the biz I'm in and at the age I'm at both physically and career wise. had been toying with the whole 1099 status for awhile, have a file where I've been researching and compiling information. Today though it appears it's time to get serious about it. But man do I feel for the 28-35 year old crowd that just hung up their shingle to be in biz and hired a few folks toughest part of this gig is explaining to my boys what was fought for and paid in blood so I could have the opportunities I've had won't be there for them and all I did about it was throw some money at candidates that I thought believed in freedom and wrote a few letters. if the little bastages are half as smart as I pray they are, it's gonna be a tough sell wish me luck fellers, think this may be one of those AHA moments for them where the old man ain't all he's been cracked up to be.

Go figure that they figured a way to ram this through. =========== You'll see tomorrow which procedure will be most accurate.
