Warmed up to 78-81* saw 5 & got 4... drilled 2 with the 220 Swift with the 40 grain Barnes VLC & got 2 with the Ruger 204 shooting the 40 grain Hornady V-maxes..I got to chase 1 around at 535yards with the swift shooting the 55 grain Hornady Spires.
I missed him twice & the 2nd shot sent chuckie under gound as I only missed him by about 1.75 low.. he was walking & I found the bullet groove in the ground right in front of his hole.. may have stung him with dirt.. he definitely knew I was there..lol..no blood though..
here's a few pix.. I really like the 40 grain Barnes VLC.. too bad they 're not made any more.. once they go in they stay in!!!

I love the 220 Swift and for Whistle Pigs it just doesn't get any better that the Swift.

The Swift rocks!... I have a 243AI that's a pretty bad a$$ thunder stick...

what do you do with these things when you shoot them or are they like prairie dogs down here?

They're like Prairie dogs... sometimes we stuff'em down the hole other times we let them lay... occasionally someone will say to save it for someone to take home & cook...but not me.. I'm sure they taste like chicken..lol

I do miss woodchucks. They are a blast to snipe.

With PDs and gophers...just to be "green"...we usually just hold what we tell the Libtards is a " Raptor Feeding Symposium"...that makes them happy, and they go away feeling good..

crows make a nice target as well... black smoke...lol
