Marlin lever guys,
re: flat top and round bolt
I have noticed there seems to be a want for these items in a Marlin 336 rifle. Why ? Can someone enlighten me on this subject ?

I can only guess who would want what on any given day, but the round bolt is much stronger than the square & very much less prone to headspace. As for a flat top, the ones to look for are not D&T and will have a wavy pattern rolled into the metal. These are getting harder to find as bubba seems compelled to D&T them at all costs! SW

225 seems a trifle high. You might try a cash offer a little lower. This is the same gun mechanically as the 336 except it has a birch stock. SW
