It's been three weeks in a row that weather has been beautiful all week, only to turn-for-the-worse on the weekend. Last Saturday, as I was heading out to shoot, things went from calm, to the pickup getting buffeted about while driving. It was pointless to attempt finding loads with promise. I fired the revolver sparingly, even that was only for fun.
Yesterday the wind howled steady, not even relenting as it normally does at dusk. I didn't hold much promise for today - but, it is absolutely still in the pre-dawn dark. I hope it's not the calm-before-the-storm, only to be blasted at daybreak. I haven't stuffed rifles in cases - for fear of antagonizing the wind - but I
might.
