Well this is my absolute favorite 3D target. However we had a problem we never saw coming with it.
We had a shootout to se who could get the best heart shot. The laminated foam is close to the heart but just bit high. Everyone aimed at the lowest left corner of the laminated section. 5 Arrows shot and all three hit within 2" of each other. Two of them hit below the laminated foam "target area" but were actually the two most likely to have hit dead center through the heart.
Those two arrows could not be pulled out. They are in that target forever. I used a sharp knife to cut out a small piece of the bottom of the target inside the area where the laminated foam layers stack up. I needed to see what in the world those arrows were stuck into. There is a steel pipe that runs directly under the laminated foam. Both those arrows hit the pipe pierced it with field points and went through it about 2". ( all the foam, the pipe and through more foam on the other side)
No option but to break the arrows off flush with the pipe and give them to kids to use at a 23-24" length now.
Just don't ever miss the bottom of the laminated section, or shoot steeply down hill low into the laminated section. That pipe will cost you an arrow!

Thanks buddy! I have a Glen-del buck & never knew this, I'll definitely be very careful of the suggested area!

I learned the hard way also. My buddies glen del ate two or three of my arrows. The shots were good killing shots. If you don't hit the foam, you're in trouble.

Well then, there's no Glen Del buck in my future. Thanks for the heads-up!
Our God reigns. Harrumph!!! I often use quick reply. My posts are not directed toward any specific person unless I mention them by name.

Still the best 3D deer target made, just don't hit outside the laminated section too low!

I bought the El Cheapo Backyard Buck with the replacable vital and it works just fine. It's a smaller target compared to the Glen Del, but it doesn't eat my arrows.
