Muffy -
We used to go to Twins games for Peewee, Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. Tzone is right. The games live in person are nothing like watching them on TV.

I've even been to one or two in the old Met and said Hi to Rod Carew. But we were just kids and it was more fun to run to the top of the parking ramp and spit mountain dew on the security officers below than it was to watch the game. Had to haul some serious tail back to our seats after that one!! Those donut eaters are fast when they want to be!

I didn't much care for baseball in the metrodump but its ironic that you posted about going to a game soon. I was thinking to myself on the way to work this morning that I need to go on line today and see about getting some tickets for a game at Target Field. Funny how that stadium has created a stir of excitement for Twins Baseball like we haven't seen since '87 and '91.

Now we just need to get the Vikes a stadium we can be excited about...

Thanks Guys!

I saw all the old NL teams play the Milwaukee Braves in Milwaukee County Stadium, including the Brooklyn Dodgers (Roy Campanilla, Duke Snyder, Karl Furillo, Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson et al.) and New York Giants (Willie Mays). Dates me a bit. eek

Tom, best of luck with the interview.

Stan, thanks for the well wishes.

I didn't know you were a turkey hunter Stan. I took my daughter to comformation class tonight and there was a danged ol Tom strutting in the ditch for his lady. Right in the ditch...

had about a 8" beard, kinda whippy, but it would have worked for me. smile

How long is your season?

Tom,Here in the upstate of South Carolina it runs from April 1 to May 1.I like getting out this time of year because everything is so pretty and "greening up".You would not believe the comfort of a chair blind.

Thanks Stan and Muffy.

Had a hen cross the road in front of me yesterday. I haven't seen all that many turkeys in the fields this year.

Woke up to a light covering of snow on the ground this morning. frown

Yes, I would. I've napped in a few myself. grin

I have two blinds. A "double" chair blind, so I can sit with the kids, and a regular pop up blind, I think it's called a "Tom Taker". Nice blind. I've shot a bird from the chair blind, but not the other.

I don't use them much unless I have a kid with me or it's raining out. Even with the rain, I like sitting out.

Your right Stan, it is beautiful when everything starts to "green up". There are a lot of Sugar Maples where I hunt and the leaves are red when they first come out.

I love turkey hunting, can't get enough of it.

we had frost this morning,
I'm thinking about going fishing tonight, although I have a big project due tomorrow so I probably shouldn't. although it is a presentation, hmm I probably don't need to worry too much about trying to make it last 15 minutes. I've been told I can be talkative.

You should have no problem with that Ryan. laugh

I put the new seats in the golf cart lastnight. I just picked up 2 boat seats at L&M Fleet. They were on sale for $20. They fit just perfect.
