I am looking to put a nice walnut stock on my first deer rifle. Its a Remington 700 in 308 and its about 20 years old(yikes). Anyone have a website on someone that can do that? Mid Range price I guess, maybe $1k-$1500

I don't know if he's taking any work right now but I do know that Jim62, a member here at the fire, does some incredible stock work.
It may be worth sending him a PM.

I have a 7x57 being done by a local fellow who does stock work as a side line. Beautifully, too. And Mike Kokolus has some fine stock patterns, too. http://www.gunstockduplicating.com/index.htmlGene is doing one of Mike's stocks for me. If you don't find someone, I'll send photos when it's done.
