Friend mounted a 4-12x40 with standard reticle on a Remington 700. Looks good and sighted in pretty quick.

I hope they're good. I just put a 2-7 on my 358 BLR. It looks perfect but we'll see how the rig shoots.

I must say I'm VERY impressed with the new Redfields..havent put one on a gun and shot it, so will reserve judgement...but it looks like "the" scope in its price point, for shure...

I put a 2x7 on a Hawkeye 358. No issues so far. Good tracking and holds zero. Great bang for the buck.

If you'll do a search you'll find this has been gone over several times already.

I have had a 3-9x on both a .300 magnum and a .350 Remington Magnum (the same scope) for a while now, trying to break it, and it hasn't. The adjustments as exactly 1/4" and just as reliable as on scopes costing 10 times as much. The optics are good, according to my night-time chart test, about the same as other multi-coated scopes costing up to $300.

I tested a 3-9x40 Refield earlier this year and really liked it. It is a very nice scope for $150. I compared to a bunch of other sub-$200 scopes in this review: Sub-$200 scopes

One interesting thing I found is that in terms of optical performance, there is a notable difference between the best $150 scope and the best $200 scope. I suppose at these prices, every dollar counts.

Still, I like the new Redfield scopes and I commend Leupold on making them, although I wonder if it spells the end of Leupold Rifleman and VX-1 scopes (personally, I hope it does because they really dilute Leupold's brand).

I own one and bore sighted and zeroed another for a friend.

My very limited experience matches MD and Koshkin's, but with their input and vast experience, you pretty well have all you need.

Good optics, both scopes I messed with both tracked and held zero perfectly. They are light and trim and nice enough looking. Eye box & eye relief embody the best of Leupold. Locking focus ring a plus for flip-ups.

Only minor criticisms: The magnification numbers are on the scope tube where they can disappear if you mount the scope far enough forward, but that didn't present a problem on either scope I used. Finish might not be quite as nice as a VXII or VXIII, but matte was nice enough. Clicks were not quite as firm and distinct as VXII or VXIII. None of this made any difference in my use, but it might to someone else.

Very little not to like, especially for $150. I'm pretty impressed with them - especially for a hunting scope, they have lots of nice features for not much money.

I put a 2-7 on a Rem 700 faux Ti in 270. It tracked well when sighting in and has good eye relief. The rifle is primarily used as a loaner but I take it out once in a while. I will take it with me bear hunting this spring. Other than the few small criticisms above, it seems to be a good deal.

I mounted a 2-7x33 with ACCU-RANGE RETICLE on a Marlin XS7 chambered .243 win. I am very happy with it, having several range sessions with it I found it bright and clear. 1/4 inch clicks and it tracks nicely.

just received my 2-7x33 and im very impressed by the optic quality i just compared with a VXII 3-9x40 and an euro-30 3-9x40 and they re in the same area ... i tested too an old M8 4x32 that is really good too ...!!! so for my own usage the redfield and if they stay on the cheap level are a very good bargain.

will see if it stands the 375 ruger "punishment" ...

I looked at some at my dealer's the other day, took one outside to play with. Just eyeballing the optics I was pretty impressed. From what I've heard here and elsewhere, and looking at the price, I want one, problem is, I don't have a rifle that needs one. Oh wait, I just had an idea...

Ted: Having looked at your Marlin/Redfield set-up at the range the other day, and reading the reviews here, I'd say that scope is a winner, especially inthat price range. Nice scope. Tom

I am happy with the setup, I think the new redfields are a perfect fit for a budget build. The new Marlin XS7's run around $280 and a scope that starts at $129 this is a package most can afford.

I just finished up sighting in an H&R Ultra Lightweight .223 with a 2-7x33mm Redfield. This scope is a great scope for this rifle and with high rings the ocular bell cleared the hammer of the rifle. The optics are clear and adjustments were positive when adjusting for windage and elevation. The power ring moved fairly easy and way easier than my Leupold 20 mm compacts. Plenty of eye relief if a heavy kicker is on your agenda. The 2-7 magnification (not actual) is great for those non magnum cartridges. The Redfield would also work well on a shotgun slug shooter. I'm impressed with the accurange reticle as well.

I put a 3-9x40 on my Ruger No1 in 22.250, great scope, good optical quality and the tracking was spot on. I my opinion a better scope than the VX-I.
Now if Redfield would only bring out a 1.5-5x20......... smile
