and before you ask <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />, you don't need magnum primers; federal 210's are pretty good in those cartridges, as are cci br's. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

have fun, be safe, good luck!

aslack99, Do you have a loading manual? I feel a loading manual is the most important piece of equipment for a new reloader.

Have fun, Jamie

Ya Jamie,I got the hornady loading manuals with the kit, they list a primer # for each load but not really the size.I thought I'd better find out the size in case I can;t find the exact primer they used in my area.

Your life will never be the same. My Dad bought me a reloader when I turned 16.

There is nothing to fear. It is not a dangerous process. Follow the manuals and use good housekeeping practices and common sense and you won't get into trouble.

And most important that many forget (even me), you don't need to load upto Maximum levels. Your gun and brass will last longer if you keep things below max.

Reloading isn't about out doing factory velocities.

If you have the 5th edition Hornady manual, look on page 36. There you will find a primer chart. Since you are new to handloading, you might also find something of benefit at http://www.reloadingpro.com which has a fairly complete section for new handloaders if I do say so myself.

Winchester Large Rifle primers work just fine.
Find your checkbook...sign every check in there...because you have just been introduced to an incurable addiction. With all them checks already signed it's much faster getting all your reloading NEEDS!
