Can anyone recommend a smith that likes/is good with Enfield actions. I have a old custom model 30 remington that needs scope bases maybe rebarrel and A remington 720 needs bases and a barrel .

What part of Idaho? I know one in Twin Falls that is excellent! Before you do anything to the rifle though talk to me. I have been looking for an unmodified model 30 and might be interested in buying/trading for it. I have several Enfield actions that might work.

I know where a completely original, later model 30 is though. The guy wants $900.

I had JB do work on other rifles , but he has disappeared.

Looks like that rifle has 4 holes drilled in the front ring. 2 at 10:00 and 2:00. For the old style bases. Rear bridge looks drilled too at 10 and 2

The rest Looks like origanal except im not sure about that rear sight. My book doesnt say anything about a quarter rib rear sight.
