Gents,
I'm sure if I searched I could find this info on the Fire, but this is too easy...
I'm interested in the differences between the actions.
Not the difference between the complete rifles.

The quick answer is the Model 7 is a shorter length action than the 700. Otherwise, the same gun. I have both.....both shoot better than I can.

I am sure you can get a more detailed answer from the Remington site under the questions section.

The rear bridge of the M7 is shorter than the 700, thus making the bolt shorter as well. The front bridge is the same. Interestingly, the loading port of my M7 is a fair bit larger than the 700...Different trigger as well.

Can this thread be a sticky? (I think this topic is reappearing more often than any other single one here.)

After buying a Model 7 in 223, I can see why guys get hooked on them. I could in a half a heart beat. Just perfect for a light weight build in something like 7-08.
I had a BIG lust for a Mini Mauser in 223, but that evaporated when I got the Model 7.
