I just picked up my second Z5 (5-25x52 with turret and BRX -thanks for a great deal Doug) and found the scope lens cover to be scraped. The scrape is on the inside of the objective lens. My previous Z5 has scrapes on the outside of the eyepiece cover. I thought that I had gotten careless with the first one, but now another with the a similar width scrape? These scrapes are about 3/16" wide and appear to narrow as they approach the center of the lens. Not a scrape across the center, it's in-to-out or out-to-in.
I have no doubt that Doug will take care of me on this, just wanted to see if there was a trend here.
MAN these scopes use awesome glass! If only the plastic covers were more durable. It would be REALLY nice if they made something like the Leupold Alumina flip up covers...
