Had some fun at the range with Grizzly Bill this weekend. Here is an action shot Bill took of me trying out my new .35 Whelen. [img:left] [/img] It's a Ruger M77 MKII, w/ a McMillan Hunter stock, Warne detachable rings, 22" bbl w/ sights, a beautiful trigger, Burris (made in usa) 1.75 x 5 heavy duplex scope, and a Pachmeyer Decelerator recoil pad. The gun was a blast to shoot.

Nice legs Tom... Seriously tho, that sounds like a very nice rifle, love the whole setup, stock, scope, rings, very cool. Hey, I picked some mushrooms tonight, first batch of what I hope turns out to be a bumper crop. Morels. cleaned up and ready to roll in flour and fry in butter. Damn they were good.

My fav is to saute with sliced onion & a dash of soy sauce, teriaki or what ever & put em over a steak.
But this is how Pam likes em, they're awesome.

The mushrooms look good Dave. Our neighbor has about 100 of those mushroom logs like you have. I'm sure he will give me some, or I hope so anyway.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Have no fear I am sure the Dept of No Response will soon figure out to require licensing for the recreational harvesting of Morel mushrooms.
Then all the log owners will have to get commercial licenses. Dept of Health and Commerce will jump in for regulatory measures. Not to mention the mushroom control board of the ACLU to prevent outstate discrimination to the metro residents as everyone knows that outstaters dont share harvesting locations.
(Believe it or not I have actually heard these proposals at one time or another)

Nah Dave only on property you do not primarily reside on, I am really shocked the state has not issued a wetlands violation because you have to much, critical habitat designation swamp squids flying bears leopard squirrels and chicken bucks are all threatened species especially in November, and required a enviromental impact study of Camp Chickenbuck due to the mud displacement from the access. C'mon whos your friends in low places?
