Guys, Dave went to town today. See, I don't get to town too much. I leave home in the morning and go to work, which is away from town. Then I come home, eat, sleep, repeat.

Well I went to town today and found that the local hardware store is thinning out it's rifle scope & bino inventory.

they had a VX-II 3-9X 40mm in matte silver for 299 and had all optics at 25% off the marked prices.

So I walked out with a new Matte silver VX-II 3-9 40mm for the price of a VX-I

It's going on the stainless & gray Lam M77.264 WM

Merry Christmas to me grin

Good find, good buy.

Thanks for saying so, it may help me plead my case with angry wife grin

I was truly torn. They had some really good buys. Such as a fixed 4X 33mm (FX-II) Loopy marked $265 - 25% which put at about 200 even.

Gloss black, I have one on a M88 in .308 and I love it, could use one on a 9422M I've got....

The had a couple of Fullfield II's in 3-9 40mm for about 150 after the 25% off too.

Sweet deal Dave! That will be a perfect match for the Ruger.

It must be "Mad Wife Wednesday". I bought a 4-wheeler and my wife is mad too. grin

The " I bought it for the kids" thingy didn't work. whistle

No winch though, so you'll have to pull me out of the swamps at Chickenbuck.

Hopefully I can get it up there this summer. I think it would be a blast on the trails/roads up there. You game for a trip?

It's full time 4x4 so it won't be a speed demon, but it will work.

It's also the first one I've ever owned outright. No loan on this one. Whooo hooo.

I'll put some pics up when I get some. I won't pick it up until at least Friday. We're trying the house hunting thing again tomorrow.

Aw heck Tom just wait til winter and ya have the plow hooked up on it then she will appreciate it.

Dave nice score.

A bit of advice for those that travel also for surprise deals, stop and check out the Ace hardware store in Fosston, you will be surprised what they carry. Deals are frequent but you have to be there.

Ace is the place. The Ace in town here has a pretty good selection of goodies too. They beat Gander on prices by a long shot.

I just love hardware stores wink

Hey big drift, here's a hardware store tip in return. New folden hardware hank. he's at least "fair" and sometimes the used rack will have something you didn't know you couldn't live without until you saw it.

grin

Tom, that machine will fit in perfectly with how we trail ride up here. We're never in a race that's for sure.

Awesome buys by both of ya's.

Don't worry about the speed T. With a cooler on the rack, top speed is never much over 15 mph.

Not sure if my new (to me) 750 Brute Force is gonna like those crusin speeds but she'll learn.

Guys,

Ma Shaw found herself in town today, like she is every day since she works in such a nice little town. She leaves home, goes to work, runs errands on her break/lunch, runs kids here and there, she goes home, cooks, cleans, eat, sleep, repeat. But today was different, she found herself at the local Ford dealer. She found herself looking at a sweet deal she just couldn't pass up. See she's an opportunist, like her husband Dave, at least that's what he said he was last night after he bought his scope. So she fancies herself to be a bit like her husband of many years.

Ma got herself a sweet deal on a 2011 Ford Mustang...V6....305 hp...Kona Blue metallic...black leather interior...31 mpg....wooohoooo. A deal that she couldn't pass up! grin Merry Christmas to Ma, Happy Birthday to Ma...oh and Happy Mother's Day Ma.

Are you serious? Congrats Pam, that's great!! The same thing applies to you like it does to Weezy, if you get too many speeding tickets Muffy is going to drive it till you learn to slow down. smile

Jeremy went to the Twins game tonight, got soaked, and they lost. I got my hair cut and colored today. I already cleared it with MNP, she has a spare bed at her house for when my other half kicks me out. It is so cool, Jeremy might not think so. He probly won't even notice. Like he always says "she changes her hair so much he don't know what he will wake up to next". laugh

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.
