Have to admit, so far I like it, I need to get it out and shoot it, and trigger doesn't feel like the abortion I have been told it is. Nice thing is that it drops right into my XD OWB holster, fits like it belongs there. Seems to be a bit lighter than the XD, and just a tad bit narrower. I'll report more when the damn wind dies here.

The one I had worked just fine. I think these must have about 3 generations to them as well and the VE's are supposed to have it all resolved. The trigger on mine got better too. I think anyone who can shoot a double action trigger should be able to handle these.

UH OH..... they're fine pistols. Shoot it a lot it's an inexpensive fun gun-but not cheap. I love mine-same as yours 40VE. It has been a great trail gun and motorcycle back country pistol, and I've turned some small game inside out with it. Get yourself a Bianchi accumold and you're set!

Good luck Les. I had one with no problems. Better ergonomics than a Glock. You probably won't like the trigger, but you didn't spend $900 for this gun. I sold mine to my SIL with several boxes of ammo. To my knowledge it has never had a hiccup.
I now have a Steyr M9A1. It feels like a Sigma, but shoots like a Glock, except a with a smoother trigger.
Keep your eyes open for a Steyr M40A1, with a right price. Mine was under $350 NIB, but I think that those days are gone.
