Curious if 99H is MP stamped. Someday we will figure out what stamp means. Nice guns! Sold two in Canada yesterday at a gunshow. A nice 1899A 30-30 and a 250-3000 rifle with checkered trigger. Miss them already but life goes on! BillR

It was a tough call letting anything go but both guns I sold had imperfections that kept them out of highly collectable status. There wasn't much for sale at show in collectable savages. The nicest one was a 98% 300 Eg 425XXX range with an asking price of $695. There was also a 60% 99F TD 250-3000 for $595 which would be a nice shooter but never a collectable. One smartass showed me a Lyman receiver sight for a 99 that he had bought at a yard sale the day before for 50 cents. Most interesting gun seen that day was a factory engraved 1886 Winchester, 45-90, 80% condition, checkered straight grip, shotgun butt, octagon with half mag, single set trigger which had just changed hands for $15,000. A few of us "loading tool" collectors were talking about how tools/molds have dried up even more than the guns. BillR

If it weren't for the Homeland Security Regulations stopping export, I'd have liked that 30-30.
