Wife has an old cane fly rod built by Hardy Bros in the UK and we're trying to find out what it's worth.

It is a Palakona built cane 5 wt, 2 piece rod and has the inscription "Annie" on it. It's in great shape as I don't think she ever used it.

Here's a link, and a starting place. Don't know the value, you can look it up on speciality boards. What length is it, and does it have an extra tip?

Not sure on the length and no extra tip. I was already at that link and couldn't find anything on it. I did e-mail the US office of Hardy Bros to see if I could get some info on it. Appreciate the help Gene.

The link shows information on dating the rod. It should have a serial numober beneath the reel seat and directions for finding the date are on the link. In general, shorter cane rods are worth more than longer rods.

It's not a long rod, maybe 6 feet. I didn't get the serial number off the rod because I couldn't find one and didn't really know where to look until now. Once I get that info it should tell me more about age and such. I'd guess it to have been built probably sometime in the 60's but that's just a guess.
Again, appreciate your help Gene.

We looked over the rod and could not find a serial number anywhere, now we are stumped. All the writing on the ord looks like it was done by hand and I'm beginning to think the word "Annie" will help identify it. Hopefully I will hear from Hardy Bros American distributor before long.
