I wanted to test my new pack today so I put in 12 miles in 4 hours to see how she rode. I had about 25lbs of gear in it and it worked great. Here's the trail.

Ah, Dan, did your "ass end" have mosquitos that had to file a flight plan with the FAA, or snakes and gators in dense foliage, or 100% humidity.......I'm just sayin'. That part of the country is only appropriate for laying on the beach under the umbrella, with someone bringing you a beer regularly as you watch the bikinis go by (I wasn't lookin' Honey, I promise).

In the 40's the whole weekend, and total elevation gain was only 1200' over the 15 miles, with lots of 100' up and downs.

The neighbor just yelled at me over the fence, asking if I was having a yardsale for muddy camping [bleep]. I had to laugh... Took me almost an hour with a garden hose to see any colors that weren't WoDak Gumbo and Alfalfa horseshit. It made me wonder if I can get a McSwirly in that color laugh

-Glad the pack worked out. I clicked on the link and looked at the trail, its a lot different than my part of the country.
Did you take any pictures of the country along the way?

I like that pack. But the ones on their web site have yellow shoulder straps & pads. Where'd you get yours and how much?

Hey Swampman, anyone ever told you that you resemble actor John Diehl? Remember "Zito" from Miami Vice? grin
