That's a great lookin' Bisley 44......
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Thanks Nebraska! Credit goes to Jason at Lipsey's however, as he's the one that arranged for Ruger to make them up for them.

Beautiful gun Frogman.
If Jason doesn't get a raise and a corner office, there's NO justice left in this world. The man knows what shooters want, even if his boss and Ruger sometimes get confused.

That's because Jason (who posts here, you know) does something very uncommon: he listens.

Yep, have to agree wholeheartedly! In fact I've been talking with him about the necessity in the world for a .41 Mag in the same configuration as well! He says he's already talked to Ruger about it, but they are not warm to the idea... However he did mention some "new" Vaquero special editions that they have coming out this year.....

Looks like they're making some with 7 1/2" barrels now. Nice but almost too much of a good thing. The draw of the medium sized frame is the "packability". If you're going to lug 7 1/2" of revolver I'd just as soon get a full .44 Magnum or .45 and load it up hot. Still, very nice of them to offer it.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I understand completely....it's hard to resist the allure of this beautiful gun! I've been shooting 240 hardcast SWC's and some 240 XTP's in mine. I just ordered 800 250 gr Keith style SWC's to load for it and my .44 mag. They should be here any day! Enjoy your new Bisley!

I agree completely Jim! The 4 5/8" barrel is perfect for this rig....great portability!

The 7.5" guns were actually mistake guns. We had made 100 7.5" high polished Bisley 44 Specials for The Shootists organization with special serial #'s. Ruger accidentally made 92 with regular serial #'s by mistake with the regular finish so we took them and sold them. These will be pretty rare so if you see one and think you might want it, I would jump on it.
Thanks,
Jason

Oops. What I meant to say was, "Wow! What an incredibly indispensible revolver. No man should be without one!"

Jason, You need to buy Rocky Raab a milkshake, no tellin how many of the 44 Spl Bisley's he's sold for you. I liked the picture of his and bought a 5.5" for myself.

Great choice! Congrat's!
I've got the 4-5/8" version. They are pretty sweet for sure. But the laminate grips have to go. Poorly fit on mine, and drains the "class" right out of an otherwise great little gun. Hope to put some good Walnut, after market grips on it some day. The actions can be smoothed up easily enough, then I'd have to say I think they about THE best little packin' gun I can picture.
A 250 gr. Keith and about 7 grs. of Unique for a pleasant shooting load, or 17.0 of 2400 for a hunting load, and your done.

Jason, in case some others would like to add custom grips to their Bisley, can you tell us if the frame on your guns is different in any way, or the same as all other Ruger Bisley guns?

I too am thinking of adding some aftermarket grips to my Bisley. I'm thinking about contacting fellow forum member "Executioner" and having him make me a set of Elk horn grips for it...there's just something about blued wheelguns that cries out for horn.....
