I am planning on getting the T-3 in 223 as a "fun gun", something that doesn't kick much and is just fun to shoot(like a 22 LR) I was wondering if anyone that has one would comment on how well is shoots with the 1-8" twist. It seems like it would handle the 68-70 gr bullets well, but was wondering what kind of accuracy to expect with the usual 50-55 grain bullets. Any comments from those who have one would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

My one shoots every bullet that I have tried (55, 63, 65, 70gn) into an inch or less at 100 yards.

Here's the first 4 shots with the very first handload that I tried in it (63gn Sierra) - tape is in centimeters - 2.5cm = 1 inch



My son assures me that it works on fallow deer...



...and red deer...

My Tikka .223 really likes a 50 grain Hornady V max over 26.0 grains of Benchmark. Seat the bullets so the rounds just fit in the magazine.....

Works like a charm and shoots tiny little groups.

+1, mine likes that combo. too, as well as the 60 grain V-max and R-15.

Also, 50 V-max and 26 TAC; and 60 V-max with 25 Benchmark.

H4895 is good in those bullet sizes too.
