Never figured how others know that you'll like someone. Gal friend of mine wanted me to met a gal friends husband, said I'd really like him.

Not a bad guy but anymore I find myself at a loss with a guy that doesn't hunt/fish/shoot. Guessing I ain't the only one.

I like people I can learn stuff from. I mean useable stuff. grin If it happens to be outdoor stuff, good. But life is a learning curve for me.

As long as what they say isn't continuous BS and all about them, we're good. Many guys today talk like a chick.

Not being gay... there's no incentive to put up with one hole to put down in another.

Ingwe will be heartbroken to hear, I know...

If someone can't at least talk intelligently about guns and hunting we have a lot of long awkward silences. Unfortunately, my wife has moved up in the ranks at SIU and has also made the final hurdle and been awarded the status of "full professor". Along with her climbing the executive ladder come many social engagements, public dinners and private dinners. In 10 years Ive befriended two people who are true hunters and woodsmen; one is an SIU academic advisor, and the other is Illinois State Trooper Sgt.

My sister hit me up with this last week. New boyfriend she says. Being that she just got divorced I wasn't real wild about meeting him. She replied with:

"BUT you're really going to like him."

"Why?" I replied.

"Because he owns a pawn/gunsmith shop with an FFL and indoor range" she says.

Having dinner this week. laugh

I just hope he has a good deal on a bigger gun safe and a 45-70 priced to family.

byc,

You are one very lucky dude. You best give your sister a big hug.

"You'll like him." My sister used a similar sentence 50+ years ago when she was trying to hook me up with one of her girl friends!

As they say at the movie theatre, Run, do not walk to the nearest exit.
